Hi David

We have a Hounsfield H50 KS test machine and QMat 4.12 S-Series software. I am a bit of a novice in using this but want to carry out a hyseresis test a product of ours and do not know how to create the test. The test should be as follows in one continuous test. From 0N apply a compression load at 0.5 mm / min up to 500N then stop and reverse into tensile up to 500N then finish the test, with the curves plotted on a graph. Can you send me instructions of how to set the test up ?

Hi Graham,

QMat Professional software does not provide for through zero testing. However Test Navigator Plus can be set up for a four quadrant graph allowing through zero testing. Alternatively you could upgrade to our newest Horizon software which will also perform hysteresis tests.
