Answer

We have 300KN tensile testing machine supplied by Tinus Olsen, Machine is calibrated as per ISO 7500-1, class1. We have verified the machine with interlaboratory comparison. The result shows that our machine always less by 1%.

How much % variation generally observed between 2 machines when tested same material at different location.

ANSWER

Thank you for your question.

There are a lot of things which can affect comparisons like this eg temperatur, humidity, type of grips used, operator techniques, break point setting etc further investigation may be required to get to the bottom of it.

You have not mention if the machine was calibrated by Tinius Olsen who will calibrate to 0.5% of reading above a minimum threshold.

Please contact your nearest Tinius Olsen Distributor for further information. I have provided a website link below which will give you contact details. You can also contact one of the 3 Tinius Olsen helpdesks based in Uk, USA and India.
