Tinius Olsen to announce 12 new developments at Interplas
Materials testing equipment experts Tinius Olsen will be using the Interplas Show in September to announce the addition of 12 new developments to their extensive range of testing equipment, details of which will be available at the show.
Also on display will be a representative range of bench-top testing machines from their extensive range of testing equipment.
Founded in 1880 by Tinius Olsen, who was one of the first to look at the need to test materials to ensure quality and reliability, the company now has one of the most extensive ranges of self-standing and bench-top available on the market.
Single and double column testing machines
Central to the Tinius Olsen display will be examples from their single and double column benchtop testing machine range, which are suitable for use with a wide range of materials that require tension, compression, flexure, shear or peel testing. The H1KS single column machine has a frame capacity of 1kN or 5kN, whilst the H10KS double column machines have capacities of 10kN, 25kN and 50kN. Both models on display also feature an easy-to-read digital numerical or graphical display and a control panel that both enables test conditions to be inputted, but also then retained for future use.
Melt Flow Indexer
Also on display will be the MP600 modular Melt Flow Indexer which is specifically designed to meet the resin flow measurement requirements of those working in the polymer sector. The MP600 uses a dual zone heating system in the core which has an accuracy of 0.1 degC with a maximum temperature of 450 degC. The standard specification includes an integral micro-processor based controller/timer, and a fluorescent display and keypad, but the modular design ensures that the MP600 can the fully specified to meet particular needs. The model on display also features the PPDT automatic timing switch for Procedure B testing.
